Chemicals in Umbilical Cord Blood! You won't believe what they found...

Back in August and September of 2004, a group called the Environmental Working Group (EWO) in collaboration with Commonweal tested umbilical cord blood from 10 babies born in U.S. hospitals.
Chemicals found in umbilical cord blood

They were testing for industrial chemicals and pollutants in the cord blood which was collected by the Red Cross after cutting. The results were astonishing!

Among the findings were industrial chemicals, pollutants and pesticides- 287 chemicals in all. The average per baby was 200!  Of the 287 chemicals, 180 are known to cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests.

It's no wonder cancer rates in the U.S. are continually increasing!
